In light of the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and Ontario Governments’ decision, some clinics are choosing to limit their services. Many elective surgical procedures in hospitals and clinics have been put on hold. Few clinics like in Ottawa and Montreal are completely shutting down mainly as a Precautionary Measure.
We at NewLife Fertility Centre want to help you in taking control of your fertility journey. There currently is no known danger about COVID-19 effects on pregnant women and the knowledge is still limited.
We recognize that COVID-19 infection as a foreseeable agent disrupting both our personal and professional lives. We, therefore, would emphasize on freezing eggs and embryos as time is of utmost importance in the fertility journey. You and your fertility specialist can always decide on the future course of this journey.
Our plans at NewLife Fertility
We plan to stay open for all services and will strictly be implementing policies to align our practice according to the notification of the Government of Ontario and Health Ministry.
– We are working towards limiting ourselves to no more than 50 people at the same time.
– Most of our IVF Coordination meetings are through phone/skype
– We are restricting 1:1 teaching in person with nursing
– We no longer allow for supportive partners and extended families
We understand that it is one of the most difficult situations but we are keeping a close eye on our policies and operations. We want to keep providing you with the best fertility services.
